Hot Sandwiches!
Yum!

Grilled Cheese, Pickle and Vidalia Onion Sandwich
By: Lainey
"I came up with this recipe because I always enjoy pickles on the side with my basic grilled cheese sandwich. So one day I decided just to put my pickles on the sandwich in addition to some other favorite ingredients. I think it turned out really delicious!"

I think this would also be good adding some left-over shredded chicken (heated before adding).

Christy's Awesome Hot Ham and Cheese
By: SeattleFarmersMarketGirl
"I love making this easy grilled ham and cheese sandwich on a cool night with a cup of tomato soup."

Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches
By: Lois
"Don't settle for ordinary ham and cheese sandwiches when you can make something deliciously different. The horseradish mustard dressing perfectly compliments the ham."

Ham 'n' Brie Sandwiches
By: Taste of Home Test Kitchen
"English muffins are a nice change for this classic French sandwich."

Hot Curried Tuna Sandwiches
By: BAJATHECAT
"I adore curry and thought that this aromatic spice would be a natural with tuna. My family thinks that I was right and ask for these tuna-melts often. Easy and very tasty. To keep this recipe on the light side, use non-fat mayo and low-fat cheese."

I have made many different versions of "hot pockets" with crescent rolls. Several readers suggested adding a splash of milk to the cream cheese mixture.
Pecan Chicken Pockets
By: Audrey Marler
"Packaged crescent rolls provide a flaky outer crust for these comforting, flavorful handheld sandwiches. 'My sister in Arizona shared the recipe with me,' notes Audrey Marler of Kokomo, Indiana."

This happens to be one of my favorite, quick sandwiches! I think I will go whip one up right now!
Toasty Egg Sandwiches
By: Denise Helms
"'When I'm running late, these sandwiches make dinner easy and tasty for everyone,' relates Denise Helms of Glenview, Illinois. 'Both my son and daughter often request them. I like to serve fruit and chips alongside,' she notes."

I wish the recipes below had pictures.
They sounds interesting and good!

Uncle Bo's Hot Sandwiches
"Famous Pittsburgh-style chipped ham sandwiches are flavored with bacon, sweet pickles, and barbecue sauce, and baked until hot. Beloved throughout Pennsylvania and parts of West Virginia, they're perfect for watching football."

Hot Jam Breakfast Sandwiches
By: Gloria Jarrett
"These slightly sweet sandwiches give a whole new meaning to grilled sandwiches. The combination of flavors are guaranteed to appeal to everyone."

Grilled Maple Turkey Sandwich
By: deli
"Make this tasty grilled sandwich using deli-sliced maple turkey on black raisin bread or any other bread with raisins. Regular deli-sliced turkey can also be used."

ArtFire Group Rate
$5.95 per month!
Offer Exp. 09/30/10

OK all you crafty people! Do you sell your goods online? If so, you may want to check out this terrific GROUP RATE DEAL going on at

Sign up BEFORE October 1 to get lifetime monthly membership for only $5.95 a month!

If you already have a Pro Account, you can opt in for this too. Your current rate will change ONCE THIS GROUP RATE REACHES 20,000 SUBSCRIBERS.

If the quota is not met, they have the option to go ahead and ACTIVATE IT - OR NOT. If it is not activated, your credit card info will not be stored, and you will not be charged for the first month.

Although I have not started my sewing room remodel - which means no product is being started yet either - I'm still considering jumping on this Group Deal. The regular fee for a Pro Account is $15.95 per month!

At this time (Wed Sept 22 at 10 pm) the banner at the top states that 5,500 spots are gone.

If you scroll down on the page, you will see this claim made by ArtFire:
"Beware of hidden fees!

Other sites might pretend to have "low" fees but the reality is never the promise. If you are paying to re-new your items each week over the course of a supposed four month listing, you're paying over ten times the advertised "fee" just to get seen!

If you sell a $20 item on other "low fee" websites you could be paying over 15% just to the marketplace! When you sell on ArtFire you never have to worry about hidden fees, you just get paid.

Does anyone have experience with being charged with Hidden Fees on any Selling Site?

Let me know if you signed up.
Let me know if you have experience with ArtFire or another site (such as Etsy).

Thanks,
~Kelly

Tag Wallet Tutorial
~by At Second Street

I ran across this amazing tutorial for making a Tag Wallet.

This is a great inspiration to me as I have been given Fabric Sample books from My Guy's sister who installs drapery. The tags used to create At Second Street's project is such a clever way to recycle even the smallest of things that most people would never give a second thought.

Head over to At Second Street to see this great Photo Tutorial using tags and hand made paper for her quaint little project!

I can use the smaller pieces of fabric samples to create a similar collage look. I love this project! I will be using finished seams and something beside paper for the reinforcement, but will link back to this tutorial when I have some product made up. Given my back injury and the sewing room make over on hold, I hope I can have some of these done by December. Christmas will be here before we know it!

Regalo My Cot Portable Bed
$20 Shipped!

This great, portable cot is regularly priced at $34.99! Add $5 more (qualifying Super Saver item) to your cart to get free shipping. I love this little bed!

Amazon readers rate this 4 1/2 stars. A readers review says it is good for kids up to 75lbs. and 52 inches. This allows the child to nap elevated off a drafty floor.

This product has been re-designed (per customer review) without a support bar previously to be mentioned uncomfortable. Now the reinforcement is in the mesh itself. Adding a fabric covered foam pad would make it even more comfortable!

Several readers mentioned having a problem with the plastic connectors. One reader mentioned replacing them with 3/8" Carriage bolts, washers, and nuts and it works flawlessly.

I love the tote bag and quick fold up design. Looks like a great product for on-the-go families and no-fuss naptimes!

Portable Kitchen Cast Aluminum Cooker
~One of the Loves of My Guy's Life!

Right at this moment My Guy is smoking a brisket on his Original Portable Kitchen! Yep, he has the real deal! He did some internet searching to show me videos of their history and people cooking with them so that I would have a greater appreciation for his "out-dated looking" grill. I was quite impressed! They nearly went out of production when all the Webbers hit the market, but tried and true, these guys just can't be beat by a Webber!

These Portable Kitchens are made of the same Cast Aluminum - just new! On the grate there is a small area to lift so that you can continuously add charcoal and soaked wood. Keeping the front bottom vent closed, you have the back bottom vent open along with the top vent that is in the front (at the utensil tray end). This allows the smoke to be pulled through the meat. A water tray is set under the meat to keep moisture rising and catch the drippings. We also slow smoke an array of sausages (including fantastic BOUDIN sold at WalMart!) chicken and cheap to expensive type hot dogs. My Guy loves this grill, and I do too now!

(I will update with a picture if I get around to taking one!)
