Videos about Bias Tape!
Great Info & Tips!

I was checking out Izzy and Ivy Designs Blogspot and ran across a quick, informative video about bias tape, and why one side is shorter than the other.

Yes, I am starting a sewing business and have not touched a machine in years! I'm neurotic like that! I was glad to see these little refresher courses about bias tape.

UPDATE:
I've chosen to remove the videos here and just put the link to open the full size viewer in a new tab. The multiple movies seemed to make the page load slow.

Take a few moments to view these videos - if you are a beginner or want to see if you can learn a new tip.

More advanced sewers, please leave a comment about your thoughts on this process please.

I'm out of time here but will post more videos here and there. Feel free to leave links to videos that you find of value. You can also email me - just go my Contact Page. Thanks!

BTW - if you need a YouTube RESIZER to fit your videos to your blog, this is a SIMPLE one to use! rop.gonggri.jp Smart guy!!

How to Mod Podge a Ceiling Fan!
I soooo gotta do this!

I usually end up finding the coolest projects by surfing through websites/blogs and clicking on links to others - and others - and others. It's nothing for me to have 20 tabs opened at once. And I have found that using Google Chrome works very well for Heavy Surfers like myself!

I was checking out Ana White's Knock-Off Wood (love her projects - she rocks!) and then I looked through U Create - another great site! I saw her link to Young and Crafty and found this Fantastic Tutorial for Blinging out Fan Blades! I soooo gotta do this project!

This week I start clearing out, deep cleaning, repairing screens, priming, painting, etc.... to convert my big living room into a sewing room. Hopefully this will be a one year temporary room. I have a huge Project House that needs the entire upstairs re-done! The room I need to use upstairs (+ the bathroom) is a much bigger project, so this is the next best decision I could make in order to get my business off the ground this year and hopefully start making sales for Christmas around Halloween.

The two fans in the living room are pretty old - I would assume, yet they work great. They are not identical, but they both have an awesome "night light" above the light kit. I just cannot bring myself to replace them. I think the mod podge project here will make them more unified. I also think the project will also add a little bling to my room!

I will re-link to the above tutorial when I post my before and after of the two ceiling fans I will be doing! Thanks Young and Crafty for the Great Tutorial!

~Scents Plus~
What is that great smell?!!

I have to let you all know about Scents Plus!

I am a repeat customer and will continue to use this system for many years to come!

My family's business that I work for has been a customer of Scents Plus for approximately 15 years. The comapny is located in Sapulpa, OK. We are on his business route here in Southeast Kansas and he stops every two weeks to fill our units.

I have purchased a unit for my own home and buy bulk fragrance to fill my own. It runs on a D battery and keeps a continual flow of fragrance wisping into your room.

The scent I currently use - and got my aunt to switch to as well - is Polo. It is a non-gender fragrance and we get a lot of compliments!

I originally purchased one of these for my litter room. (I also use a great cleaner called OUT! Multi Cat for surface cleaning and you can read more about that l o n g - w i n d e d post HERE).

I plan to purchase another Scents Plus unit for my new sewing room (no critters allowed!) and plan to add one to both the bathrooms. I love to burn candles but with teens and animals, this is a much safer choice.

These would also be perfect in day cares, customer use restrooms in businesses, RV's, diaper changing area and of course offices! Again, customers notice it and compliment the fragrance!

Please be sure to mention that you were referred by "Kelly Lamb in Parsons".
